* Review * Matte Nail Polish India | Revlon Matte Polish vs Nykaa Matte Polish

The Beauty world was going crazy over Matte Nail Polishes. Well there are reasons for it.
Firstly, Matte nail polishes dry super fast and secondly, they stick to the nails like nobody's business.
However the Indian beauty market had to wait super long for these to arrive.
Revlon has launched their range of matte nail polishes in India. And then came Nykaa who opened new horizons of matte nail polishes with their endless shades.

I picked up the Revlon Matte Nail Polish in the color MARINE MATTE. It comes in a beautiful frosted glass bottle. Its a stunning aqua marine color, perfect for summers.  Absolutely in Louveeeee with the color. Looks oh so bright.. on my hands!!!!

My take on Revlon Matte Nail Polish:

1. Retails for Rs. 199 for 8 ml . Which is a little pricey. But compared to the color payoff and overall performance I would say its a decent price.
2. Dries super fast almost instantly.
3. Needs 3 coats for true opaque color.
4. The matte effect fades after a day or two.

Just applied vs two days post application

Coming to the Nykaa Matte Nail Polish, they too come in frosted glass bottle. The color that I chose is LAVENDER GELATO. The color is slightly darker then what it looks online.

My take on Nykaa Matte Nail Polish:

1. Retails for Rs. 199 for 9 ml. Which is quite decent.
2. Dries super fast but not instantly.
3. Needs 2 coats for true opaque color.
4. The matte effect fades after a day or two.

Both Revlon and Nykaa are almost at par with each other in terms of quality (Revlon being slightly more pricey). However considering the zillion shades that Nykaa has, you can create a customized Rainbow of your own. :-)

Again you can try n test the Revlon nail paints at the store which cannot be done for the Nykaa nail paints so the actual shades might differ.
